Work Placement Scheme

If you’re thinking about a career in law, there’s no better way to gain an insight than a work experience placement.

Deaf Lawyers UK recognises the need to provide opportunities for work placements for members of Deaf Lawyers UK as part of their development and also for them to gain an understanding of life working within the law, and is the best way to get a ‘real’ appreciation of the organisation, culture, services and people.

To this end, we have developed partnerships with the following law firms and other legal service providers:

RAD Deaf Law Centre

Join RAD Deaf Law Centre’s team of 2 solicitors, 2 caseworkers and 1 money adviser at their office in Newport, South Wales. They operate on a national level providing a range of services across England, Wales and Scotland.

RAD Deaf Law Centre takes on cases on behalf of Deaf clients in the areas of employment, welfare benefits, debt, housing, discrimination, conveyancing, wills and probate, family and matrimonial matters, business start up and also provide legal advice services to Deaf businesses and organisations.

A work placement is offered exclusively for Deaf Lawyers UK members in July of each year.

More partners coming soon.
